Operation Gratitude

Many years ago one of our post members merely mentioned he had a brother that worked at Operation Gratitude and they had candy to donate. As the years passed I got voted onto the Auxiliary Board I decided to call Operation Gratitude for candy donation and as we started to have various meetings as to how The American Legion could help the communities we came up with a Children's Christmas Toy giveaway party.

Operation gratitude has been very generous for the past 4 years In donating up to 1200 pounds of candy a year that we have distributed to over 1000 kids and each year our numbers go up. In return our Post Legionnaires and Auxiliary members volunteer on some week-ends by helping assemble care packages for our troops.
